Vessel characteristics
Insulated, flat bottom, 316-L Stainless Steel, rigidly built into the cabinet.
Digestion basket
316-L Stainless Steel perforated, 9” deep x 11.5” diameter, removable for emptying. Lifting handles are to the sides of the basket.
Heating
Electric hot plate, thermostatically controlled temperature.
Safety
Lockable vessel lid latch, pressure relief vent at 0.5 psig, pressure relief lid design at 1 psig.
Cycle control
< 18 hour cycle (loading, heat-up, exposure, rinsing, and emptying)
Agitation Magnetic stirring puck, captive below the basket in order to keep liquid moving throughout the cycle.
Controls
  • Momentary fill switch fills water to correct level
  • Cycle switch initiates automatic heating, digesting, draining with co-flush, and rinsing cycles
  • Sample button to end cycle with contents remaining in the vessel; resume cycle button after sample has been taken

Recommended for Hookup:

Electric: 110 VAC 60 cycle single-phase 20 amp GFI. Water Supply: ½” NPT female coupler Drain Connection: ¾” NPT female coupler, (Connection to drain past sink trap is recommended for odor control).

Alkali
